Why Do I Teach?
I teach because for me it is the most effective, enjoyable and most important way in which I can help to positively change the world. Everyone needs to do their part to make this world a better place and teaching is the way I chose to do it. Teaching allows me the ability to mold the mind and influence the heart. Teaching gives me the opportunity to guide young people to become empowered and engaged in society.
I also teach because it is rewarding. I enjoy seeing young people transform themselves, figure out who they are and where they want to go. To me, there is not much that is more exciting than hearing from or running into a student years later, listening to him or her tell you what a positive impact you’ve had in their life.
But most of all, it is my hope that my teaching will influence students to create positive change and want to do their part to have a positive impact in the world, no matter how big or how small.
That and more is why I teach!
My Expectations of Students
It is my expectation that my students will not only improve academically, but socially and emotionally as well.
