This January we started the second book of the school year, Monday’s Not Coming by Tiffany D. Jackson. It’s a fantastic book, set right here in Washington D.C. telling a too-familiar story of a black girl who disappears and the only person who is determined to find her. It’s a sad story, but it also shows loyalty, community, and the power of friendship. And I can’t wait to find out what the students make of it.
Many thanks to Pen/Faulkner for making this story possible.
